Half title foxed, but otherwise a very good copy. 1898 gift inscription on verso of first free endpaper with signature above. Illustrated by 32 plates, chromolithograph and black and white, including frontispiece with Biblical text, half title and title and the rest with verses. An illustrated gift collection of sacred poems, by a number of authors. Cecilia Havergal was a writer of poems and songs, who published from the late 1880s to the 1920s.
