Libro
Soft cover. Condición: Near Fine. Book is clean with a square, tight binding and bright, white pages. Book has minor wear on the edges that is difficult to see in the scans. Every novice military flier learns quickly that, in air-to-air combat, the unseen opponent is the greatest threat. An enemy pilot who slips onto your tail, your "six o'clock," is the one who is most likely to shoot you down. We believe there may be an underappreciated, if not invisible, ground threat to the bases used by the United States Air Force (USAF); as our title suggests, the classic fighter pilot dictum, "Keep checking six," may be as applicable on the ramp and on the runways as it is at 20,000 feet. Presenting the results of an investigation of the evolving ground threat to USAF bases, this report discusses past, present, and possible future threat obiectives and tactics. It should be of interest to Air Force Security Police in training, operations, and policy positions. It should also be of interest to those responsible for planning the defense of USAF bases and to others within the Air Force who have a responsibility for ensuring the availability of airpower as a ready instrument in the defense of U.S. interests. The work supporting this report was conducted as part of a larger study on asymmetric strategies that future adversaries might use to counter U.S. airpower. That study was done under the auspices of the Strategy, Doctrine, and Force Structure program of Project AIR FORCE and was sponsored by the Director of Plans, Headquarters, United States Air Force (AF/XOX). The book you see in the images is the actual book we have for sale. Why pay more? When you buy this book from us, you are helping to support a small brick and mortar family owned store. We have been curating our collection for three generations and currently have over 250,000 volumes in stock. Please feel free to call for more stock.

Manuscrito
Archive of scripts and revision pages for 56 episodes of the detective television series dated variously between 1958 and 1960. Copies belonging to screenwriter Lewis Reed, with his manuscript name on the front wrapper of each episode. 36 scripts contain pink, blue, white, and yellow revision pages, many bound separately and laid in at the rear. Included are screenplays for nearly half of the 114-episode run of the series, starring the sophisticated, sharp-dressed, jazz-loving private eye Peter Gunn, played by Craig Stevens. Probably the only television show to ever rival the best films noir of the big screen, with minimalist dialogue and bleak, open-ended conclusions that challenge even the best of television today. Creator Blake Edwards would use the success of the series to jump start his film career, going on to direct "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961) and the "Pink Panther" film series starring Peter Sellers. Noted composer Henry Mancini won an Emmy and two Grammy Awards for the show's well-loved theme song, including the first Grammy ever awarded for Album of the Year. Scripts in Very Good to Near Fine condition. Mimeograph on eye-rest green or white stock.
