Theatre play, for a cast of eighteen; set in the Present in the town of Fancy Gap. First performed at Henry Miller's Theater, New York, on 7th April, 1937. Original cast included Tom Faddon, Peggy Wood, James Lightfoot, and Calvin Thomas. Directed by Bertram Harrison. Designed by Doinald Oenslager. Produced by Vinton Freedley. Actress Jassie Royce Landis created the rle of 'Christine Anning Lathrup' with Mary Rockwell taking over as second cast on April 26th, making her Broadway debut. Original publisher's cloth binding in blue with slightly faded gilt lettering at spine. Loosely inserted two newspaper cuttings concerning the suicide of Mary Rockwell dated June 21st, 1942, and a photograph of houses on Pomander Walk. Bookplate featuring a sunflower, for E.D.R.K. (E. De Roy Koch) on front pastedown. Near very good. Covers slightly dull. Signedes.
