Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832–1898), known by his pen name, Lewis Carroll, was an English mathematician, photographer, and prolific writer, especially known for his beloved books Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Preferring the company of children to adults, his Alice books were inspired by his friendship with the young Alice Liddell, the daughter of the Dean of Christ Church, where Carroll was a mathematics instructor.
Andrea D'Aquino has always resisted labels like "art director", "illustrator", "graphic designer" and finds herself happiest straddling the line between all those things. She has worked as a senior art director for major advertising agencies. As an illustrator and designer, clients include Anthropologie, The New York Times, Conde Nast Traveller, The Washington Post, Elle Magazine, One Kings Lane, Vegetarian Times, Family Fun, Chronicle Books, Uppercase, Flow Magazine, PlanSponsor Magazine, and many others. Her work has been recognized by Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Art Director's Club, Communication Arts, 3x3 Magazine, The One Club, and The Type Director's Club.
