As a young boy growing up in Iowa, the author fished in a small pool on warm summer days, much like the boy in this story does. On these leisurely outings he marveled at nature and wondered how creatures developed. If only they could talk, how much we could learn! Jim is the author or co-author of over eighty technical papers, three charters in technical books, and a memoir entitled A Rustic's Journey to the Twenty-First Century. His first children's book, Goldilocks, James, and Baby Bear Battle the Space Alien Smots, was published earlier this year. He is currently writing a book on travel.
