Ann Helen Wainer is an attorney in Brazil affiliated with the Rio de Janeiro Bar Association. She earned a master’s degree in corporate law in Brazil, and a MA in religious studies at Florida International University. Her books include Civil Liability of the Developer; Brazilian Environmental Legislation; A Jewish Perspective on Ecology, and Family Portrait. Brazilian Environmental Legislation was included in the Museum of Fine Arts exhibit and A Jewish Perspective on Ecology received the ecology award book prize of the year in Brazil. Her book Family Portrait was published in the United States and is available online at the website www.modernjewishhome.com.
Ann participated in several seminars in the United States on the topic of climate change. She was an ARIL/CrossCurrents Coolidge Fellow in NYC, and a resident at The Vermont Studio Center. Ann lectures in Brazil, the United States, and other countries on the various subject matters of her books such as the Brazilian connection to Jewish life in America.
